Waterlace Laser Dentistry

No Pain ~ No Shot ~ No Kidding!

Our goal in dentistry is to provide the most comfortable experience and the best dentistry. Laser technology is a great way to provide both for our patients. The Age of Painless Dentistry has arrived!

Why Waterlase Dentistry?

Treats Tooth Decay

Tooth enamel is the hardest material in the human body. It is no wonder dentists need tough tools to work on it. There is a gentler way to fix decay through Waterlase Dentistry. From the moment work starts, you will feel the difference.

Treats Gum Disease

Bleeding gums and gum recession are common signs of gingivitis and gum disease. This is caused by the presence of bacteria and inflammation inside the gums. The iLase laser gum treatment is a painless procedure that removes inflammatory debris and infected tissue from inside the gums. It also reduces the amount of harmful bacteria that cause gum inflammation and pockets to develop. Gum tissue improves after this treatment along with proper oral care.

Benefits of Waterlase Dentistry

More Comfortable

Waterlase Dentistry uses laser energy and a gentle spray of water to perform a wide range of dental procedures – without the heat, vibration and pressure associated with the dental drill. With many procedures, it’s possible to use less anesthetic, and often no anesthetic at all.

More Convenient

Dr. Brown can often get you in and out of the dental chair faster, since it’s less likely that you’ll need an injection. Research shows that the vast majority of patients don’t.

It’s nice to avoid the shot, right? Not using anesthetic can allow Dr. Brown to perform procedures that once meant an additional trip to a specialist, saving you even more time.

More Precise

The Waterlase laser can remove decay with a laser far more precisely than a drill. This saves more of the healthy parts of your tooth. Saving your natural teeth can save you from the discomfort and cost of bridges, dentures, and implants.

How Does Waterlase Dentistry Work?

Waterlase Dentistry is one of the most advanced dental technologies available today. It was developed by BIOLASE Technology, the leader in dental lasers. BIOLASE dental lasers have been used to treat millions of patients.

A Waterlase laser creates a special highly concentrated light energy, and sends it through an optical fiber to its handpiece. Dr. Brown uses the handpiece to aim the laser energy at the precisely the areas to be treated. It may be combined with a gentle spray of water.

Waterlase dentistry was developed specifically to repair decay and damaged teeth, and treat gum and other soft tissue in the mouth safely and comfortably. It can be harmful to eyes so everyone in the room dons special protective glasses.
